Jeng Brothers Win 2010 NABC Youth OpenAndrew and Richard Jeng of Johns Creek GA had two big games to win the Baron Barclay 2010 NABC Youth Open Pairs. The brothers had 58.93% in the morning and followed with a 71.43% in the afternoon. Because it was a qualifying event, carryover was added to the final session results to give them a total score of 74.81%.
The Jengs are on the USA2 team to play in the under 21 event at the world championships to be held later this year in Philadelphia. They will be competing for the Damiani Cup. Richard holds the ACBL record as the youngest Life Master. The pair play a 2/1 bidding system.
Tom Walsh of Saskatoon SK and Arjun Dhir of Alpharetta GA were second with a score of 65.18%. In third place were Zachary Brescoll of Versaille KY and Asya Ladyzhensky of Ellenton FL. Their score was 62.45%.
ACBL President Richard DeMartino presented trophies to the top three places.
