Defending Champs RepeatFour members of the team that will represent the U.S. in the under 21 group at the World Bridge Series Championship in Philadelphia won the orderTopia National Youth Swiss Teams at the 2010 Youth NABC in New Orleans.

For three players it was their third time to win this event: Adam Kaplan of New Port Richey FL, Jesse Stern of Lutz FL and Jourdain Patchett of Sarasota FL have won the Swiss Teams all three years it has been contested. Teammate Adam Grossack of Newton MA has been their teammate twice. (Their teammates in world play will include John Marriott III and Alex Hudson who were unable to play here in New Orleans.)

The winners won by 17 VPs, but the event was close to the end. The victors could have been overtaken if the team captained by Richard Jeng won their last match by the maximum. Instead, the Angie Green team blitzed the Jeng squad and moved into second place. The winners’ final score was 102 VPs. Green finished with 85 and Jeng with 83 VPs.
